Kumbhalgarh Fort is the birthplace of the great king of Mewar, Maharana Pratap. Kumbhalgarh Fort was built on a hilltop 1100 meters above sea level. The perimeter walls of this fortress are second in length only to the Great Wall of China. The magnificent fort which also separates the Mewar region of Rajasthan from the Marwar region was built by Rana Kumbha in the 15th Century. Apart from its historical significance, the Kumbhalgarh – Ranakpur forest reserve is home to a diverse variety of flora & fauna.

Located in the rugged Aravali range, the Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary is a sprawling wildlife reserve spread around 600 sq. km in Rajasthan. Spread over Pali, Rajsamand and Udaipur districts of Rajasthan, it is a major attraction for those visiting Udaipur. The sanctuary encircles the massive fort of Kumbhalgarh and is also has named after it. Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary is known for its high hills and narrow valleys that add to the scenic beauty of the area. The sanctuary also marks the division of two socio-cultural regions of Rajasthan, Mewar and Marwar, located either side of the Aravali Hills. Mewar is located to the east of the Aravali mountain range and Marwar to the west. The sanctuary is home to a very large variety of animals, some of which are highly endangered. Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary provides a natural abode to many creatures like wolves, leopards, sambhar, and nilgai.
Lord Shiva Temple
This temple was built by Maharaja Khumba. It is famous for its 4-5 feet high Shivling. Shiv temple of Kumbhalgarh has a different type of architecture, There are many carved stone pillars in the shiv temple people says that the shiv-ling of this temple has made with [Kasoti Stone] which is used to test real gold.
Vedi Temple
One among them is the Vedi Temple, a shrine dedicated to the Goddess Vedi, present within the vicinity of the Kumbhalgarh Fort situated in Hanuman Pol of Rajsamand district. The UNESCO world heritage is a great attraction to all, as one gets to enjoy the majestic architecture of the fort and also pay respects to the pilgrim sacrifice site built within the Vedi Temple. The shrine is elevated on a high platform and faces the west.

The forest department along with a private contractor has established a small jungle adventure park with activities such as adventure activities such as Ziplining, tree walks, rock climbing and trekking a mere 5-minute drive from Via Lakhela Resort & Spa, Kumbhalgarh.
Located at a short 15 minutes drive from Via Lakhela Resort in Kumbhalgarh, is the Hammeripal Lake. This lake is home to thousands of African Catfish. Visitors coming to this lake can buy local snacks and feed the same to the catfish. Watching so many of these fishes scramble is a unique site.
